Design: LEDG
Materials: wood, sealant, stain, brads, hinges, screws, staples, non-slip feet and strips
Pitch: "Shoes are too lovely to be kept hidden in a closet. After you go out on the town in those heels, let them continue looking good, while hanging out on LEDG. LEDG is the pretty, practical, piece of furniture that features several ledges for displaying and storing your heels and pumps."
"Say goodbye to the pile of shoes on the floor, or the hidden away shelf in the closet. LEDG is the 21st century jewelry display for your heels, and it keeps each perfect pump on display for ease of selection and storage. LEDG is not only functional and fashionable, but collapsible, and convenient as well. Crafted from solid, sturdy, and decorative hardwood, LEDG leans soundly against any wall, fitted with non-slip feet and perches on which each pair of your shoe art can daintily rest. Wall securing hardware is also included with each LEDG, for that extra bit of security. Available in 6' and 4' versions. The 6' version features hinges that allow compact folding for relocation or packing, so it's as easy to move around as the 4' version. LEDG is one of the many design inventions from the minds at halftone.tv, who specialize in creating stylish and practical items that make life more beautiful and bearable."

Hi Ryan!
huh...i'm signed in, but it won't let me vote... tried 2 different browsers, too! sorry Ryan, Hopefully AT will fix this.. it's a great idea!!!
I've seen this done on multiple DIY sites the only difference is yours leaning against the wall.. The whole using basic trim to hold your shoes has been around for awhile.

I've seen trim tacked up on walls before as well...and it's usually as hideous as the link that lodekorator posted here. This however is stylish and AWESOME. It's like functional art and would save so much space since you get more shoe space with the angling against the wall (I have some of those horizontal/stackable shoe shelves in my closet, yuck). Very cool idea...and I want your leopard pumps >:-}
