S Band EJ Seismograph: Get Familiar With Your Quakes

Considering the not-so-pretty situation in China and the impending earthquake threat analysis keep throwing at Japan, a company called S Band EJ has decided to release a sleek little seismograph machine to the masses. Well, not really to everyone - it's $4200 - but having a bunch of them strung together may provide (for those curious) the level of the quake at your location and also allows you to predict when and to what degree the shocks of a distant quake are likely to reach you.

Available for $4,200. Make sure you know Japanese or have a friend who does beside you since there doesn't appear to be any English in sight.
