Defensive home decor?
James McAdam apparently had that in mind when he came up with the Safe Bedside Table.
To come up with this design, he either has a vivid imagination or he's lived in some really shady places...

The table can be dismantled to form a shield for protection and a club for, well, offense. Made of solid cherry and steel.

I think a gun in the nightstand is a more classic statement.
how long does it take to disassemble? this could be crucial...
great, innovative idea. hopefully it will never have to be used though.
He's taken a bit of drastic action for them bedbugs isn't he?
Ha JosieDaisey!
Speaking of guns and decorating, I found the cutest little bullet hole in my bedroom wall....how should I decorate around it? So adorable. Must be a 22....so tiny for a Texas bullet hole.
hilarious and safe
It is only safe if the owner doesn't get beaten with it themselves.
Great idea!
Hilarious. It would supplement the Louisville slugger hidden behind the drapes very nicely.
Lol, Jabber!
And wow... this is kinda cool. Of course, if you put anything on it, it'll make a racket when you disassemble it.
Someone is not using the Secret....
It would look great with one of these on it:

I hope it comes with suggestions of how to explain it to the odd overnight guest....
art, that lamp was my first thought too. more sculpture for the home.
Ha-ha-ha! ATers' comments are killers this morning!
But what do you do with all the beer cans and condom wrappers on the table top when you hear the intruder? ;)
And that pic of the guy wielding the table leg cracks me up.
He's got nice arms, though.
