I just got the $3k Kistler sofa from Anthro for $1k!!!! probably the best deal in the universe, and I'm so glad I waited 3 years and happened to hit the 30% off the already reduced price sale right before they sold out! Literally, my husband pulled it up minutes later and it was gone. Also arrived in 3 days. And you're right - I plan to have this forever!
About #9, the brass color looked somewhat dated and cheap. However, we found the price very attractive for the quality, size and style, particularly when other colors are selling north of $150. Therefore, we went ahead with the purchase and spray painted it in white color. The final result is stunning.
If you're in Austin, TX, Four Hands might still have some of the Kistler chairs/sofas left at their showroom or warehouse for even less - I'm pretty sure they're the wholesaler, and last time I went to their warehouse they had at least one of the chairs (in a darker leather) ther for around $500.
