Z2 iPod Dock and Wi...
I know it says it in the article, but I'd like to reiterate for everyone. The 'nest' above is a generation 1, for only $50 more you can get the latest one. When you're looking at spending $200+ on a thermostat(!) you might as well get the much thinner and feature rich newer model.
If you want an iPad & want to save money, consider picking up an Android tablet. All my friends who've made the switch are very content!
"If you want an iPad & want to save money, consider picking up an Android tablet. All my friends who've made the switch are very content!"
The problem with Android tablets is that there are few actual tablet apps available for Android tablets, unlike with the iPad that has around 300,000 actual tablet apps. Most Android "tablet" apps are simply phone apps blown up to work on a tablet.
Then you also have the issue with malware. There is no known malware floating around for iOS (the operating system for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch) but there is plenty floating around for Android.
Updates are also very hit and miss with Android. You could buy an Android tablet or phone and get one operating system or device update and never get another one, with support essentially being dropped, or you could wait a year for an update.
The quality of similar apps are usually higher with iOS and they are often released before Android.
Some things to consider. The saying "you get what you pay for" is still true.
