Sprout Side Table
My domestic partner, in a fit of some kind of self-sufficiency or something, bought a whole-house natural gas generator in case of power failure. (In our current location, the power went out a couple of times for a couple of days -- he tried a gasoline generator but discovered that power outages effect gas pumps, as well, so the very few places selling gasoline were swamped with half-hour to hour long lines. In our previous home, the power went out for as long as a week to ten days. Ice storms in the Northeast can be fierce.)
A whole house generator costs a ton more money than the one shown here!!! But we will always have heat and lights and a functioning refrigerator, and friends are staking claims to our guest room in case of crisis! (Plus we get a discount on our home insurance and maybe a rebate from the state.)
Still, mega expensive!
(I love the wooden iPhone cover above, but it would be scuffed in my handbag. I'll stick with the boring rubber one.)
You don't need to use a service to make magnets of your photos. Office supply and craft stores sell 8.5x11 sheets of magnet with paper on side side. You arrange your photos on a page in in word processing or image software, then just print the magnet sheets yourself. The magnet sheets easily go through home printers, then cut with plain scissors. I've been doing it for years.
As an example, here are magnet sheets by Avery for sale at Staples. http://www.staples.com/Avery-Personal-Creations-Inkjet-Magnet-Sheets/product_46771
Awesome, thanks for the tip Terry, I'm going to try that out!
