Name: Sally
Location: Memphis, TN
This is our sweet baby girl's nursery. My husband and I had so much fun putting everything together for baby Sally. We hope she loves it as much as we do.
We decided to go with aqua, lime green and hot pink. No real theme....just whimsy and fun. We used polka dots in various parts of the room to make the room super fun! Our decorating style is fun, whimsical, playful, and colorful.
I LOVE the crib bedding. As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be in the room. That was the inspiration for the room. I also love the chevron rug and art on the walls. Anything that makes the room original is special to me.
My advice to another parent putting together their first nursery is Pinterest and Etsy will be your best friends. We got so many ideas from those. Don't be scared to get in there and try some DIY projects. It makes everything more special when you made it yourself. .

have a quick question on the Urban Outfitters rug...is it thick or does it rumple up a lot due to being thin? Is it substantial enough for a wooden floor? i like them too but as they are online only I cannot test to be sure?
I have the rug and it is pretty thin. Mine is on a tile floor and it slips around a lot.
Beautiful!
We have a thin rug like that from another company, but we put a rubber rug mat under the whole thing, and it doesn't seem to be a problem.
I have the Urban Outfitters rug. It is thin and did slide around on the wood floor; however, we bought a cheap rug pad from Ikea and cut it to size underneath, and it works perfectly! Extra cushioning and the rug stays in place now. For the price, it's still a really good deal for a rug!
Beautiful room!
But, I'm surprised with the awareness everyone seems to have about SIDS that you are showing a crib with bumper pads. Bumper pads may be a contributing factor to SIDS. This is a Canadian link, but I'm sure you can find the same info from American health websites. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/legislation/pol/bumper-bordure-eng.php
So cute! I love the colors, so bright and cheery! :) And I love the framed monogram on the wall. (And that you used the sweet, vintage name Sally!)
I love that bedding, too, thanks for listing the vendor!
I LOVE the little balls on the curtains! I'm going to do that in my son's room tonight!
So cute! That was a beautiful room to start with, with all that gorgeous trim work. Very sweet and girly and vintage.
Beautiful room... Love the colour... girly but not too girly!
On another note about the bedding police comment... its a photoshoot right? So they're making the cot look pretty. When you see a photo of a bed with ten thousand pillows no one makes comments about how bad it is to sleep on that many pillows, because people know that when people go to bed that they'll take them off the bed. I think it would be safe to assume the same with the bumper pads...
