- Inspiration for my palette:
- I've always loved warm, bright, jewel colours and really wanted a teal room. This could look cold so you need to work in some warm colours to brighten it up.
- Colors used in my room
- Teal on the walls, duck egg on the ceiling down to picture rail and fireplace, creamy yellow round the windows to make any light coming in warm. Most of the furniture is antique/vintage so there's a lot of brown and neutral which needed warming up with a splash of red and neon pink.
- Tips for using color successfully
- Keep the wall/wood work colour palette fairly limited tonally but go nuts on the soft furnishings and artwork.
- Palette
- Very Brighton

She's watched to many Jean-Pierre Jeunet movies ... very nice!
Oh, full house tour, please!!! I absolutely love this!!!
If it were up to me, this would be the contest winner (and I say that as a fellow contestant). Bravo!
Completely gorgeous -- I hope this gets a full house tour too!
Love it, I'm a dear friend of Sally and the rest of her flat is fabulous too.
I really enjoy the sofa along with the occasional table. With the right choice of an occasional table, it can really make the room complete and full.
Oh, I am totally in love. Can I come live there? Everything is just wonderful.
thanks for all the lovely comments. obviously you're ALL welcome to come and live with me!
I have this palette in my living room too! Not the easiest to work with, but I love the eccentric vibe you have going. Very cool!
Haha love the warthog in the fedora!
Awesome colors!!! It is one of my favorites! I vote for you for sure!
I think this may be my favorite. The whole room just wants me to be there :)
None of my favorite colors, and it's absolutely delicious. Would love to come home to this.
Yes, yes, a million times YES!!!
Is that a real warthog head?
oh my god, yes. voted!
You have to see the rest of he flat........it's fantastic........more photos please

hi keira, definitely not - no animals were harmed in the creation of my living room. it's made of stuffed fun fur fabric a bit like a teddy. at first i thought it might be a bit childish for the room but it fits right in.
Oh i just notice and was wondering, where did you get the lighted horse heads?!
hi twleidy
the horse head lights came from an amazing online shop called rocket st george. they have fantastic stuff...

Fantastic. Truly.
Ooh man i should of never asked. That site is amazing! Thank you!
Love the teal wall color!
This is fabulous (I'm in your category too but have voted for you). Where did you get the feather wreath? I have tons of pheasant feathers...maybe I could make one?
Are you on facebook? I'd love to see the rest of your pad (I'm up in The Lakes)
thanks Katerina, i love your place and voted for you too!! i got the feather wreath in bath a couple of years ago but it would be very easy to make - it's just a circle of florist's' oasis with the feathers stuck straight in, no glue needed.
i am on facebook - will click on your link and add you now... x
