Salvage One states it simply: "For nearly 30 years Salvage One has been one of the largest purveyors of architectural elements and salvage in the world." Its endless range of salvaged goods serves an endless range of needs for architects, decorators, set designers, restaurant designers, collectors...you name it. We'd love to hear your thoughts if you've browsed or bought there lately, or if you attended last week's re:FAB Benefit for Chicago Architecture for Humanity.
The inventory comes from many eras and is ever-changing. Here are a select few, just to give you a glimpse:

This place has fallen flat on its face in the past few years. A staff that doesn't have a clue what they are purchasing. Combine that with the horrible setups without any guidance or vision, how can a company waste so much space with horrible designs ? A dirty low end junk shop who has a thief for an owner. I remember the glory days on Sangamon when consignors were actually paid and treated with respect...now you can get on your knees and pray that check arrives in the mail after you realize your consignment pieces have sold. I have been given the run around when calling for months. I guess 34% of a sale isn't good enough. Do not consign your architectural antiques here unless you have time to chase you cash and the owner of this junk yard all over the city.
Consignor Beware,
