Desk is better looking than that one from Walmart...

I almost really like the desk, but the legs seem really ugly.

I like the style and feel of that desk. Though, it does look like it could be kinda flimsy, and it's probably cheaply made judging by the price. However, it looks like it could be a pretty decent desk for a year of school.

I so need to take a trip to WalMart! Maybe less drawers will reduce my clutter I have in them.

Personally, I'm getting tired of this wood tone - wenge? You see it a lot with Target furniture and with ready to assemble Crate and Barrel furniture.

Westelm's wood furniture used to be entirely this color but they were smart and moved on. It just looks kind of cheap.

Is it even real wood? Looks like faux wood siding along the side of the desk. And what is Salma Hayeck doing designing furniture for Target? Has she even sat behind her desk? Sorry...I think it looks cheap and ugly. Stick to movies Salma

matching names is far too common a practice to be bothered by. either name your kids similarly, or don't.

now, naming all the kids the same thing... that's worth a little consideration.

What I thought when I first saw those pieces in the store.

I like the look of some of the items, but the desk and especially the bookshelf were VERY wobbly, and all the items looked to be cheaply made. Doesn't come as a huge surpise, but I know that one can find better quality for the price, even at Ikea.

I saw that desk at Target the other day. It was falling apart.

Target always lures me in with their pretty pictures, but yeah, most of their stuff ends up looking really cheap and flimsy in person. I've returned too many online purchases to them to trust their photos anymore.

The desk is very crude. The fake veneer is extremely rough around the edges and is wobbly and falling apart in every display I've passed. I really wanted to like this desk.

For those who can't read, the Target website says the desk is "Made of Wood Composite in Melamine Gray Finish"

it's designed by sami hayek, not Salma Hayek. he is her brother. he is a designer by trade.

I do like the design but I've seen it in store, and the veneer is pretty flimsy looking. It'd be banged up so quickly.

And I'm tired of people designing these poppy little child rooms for college age people. It's the time in our lives when we're supposed to be growing up some. Not that I'm saying don't buy poppy stuff if that's what you want, I'm just saying that everybody designs for college kids like they're four year olds on crack. I am not a four year old on crack.

I think that college kids would have better taste if presented with less childish options.
