It almost seems as if the Samsung SyncMaster P2770HD was built with small homes in mind. The 27-inch LCD panel takes into account that many of us use our computer monitors after hours as TV screens, offering the right connectors to allow for both computing and TV tuning from one device.
The 1080p flat screen has a nice selection of ports on its backside, including HDMI, VGA, DVI, as well as component and composite video. According to Digital Trends, "Since a PC won’t send audio signals over the HDMI connection, there’s a separate stereo jack for feeding in PC audio, as well as an S/PDIF digital input. A standard coax connection provides room for an antenna, and you’ll find a headphone jack buried on the back as well."
The P2770HD features the same acrylic design as the LED backlit monitor we posted about earlier. While the acrylic base is snazzy, Digital Trends informs us that it's a bit limiting as it doesn't offer any type of adjustments -- height or swivel.
We really like this as an option in small studio apartments or dorm rooms, where you may set up your home office in a space of your home that can also be your entertainment corner. The flat panel even comes with a remote, just like other Samsung TVs, that allows you to control it when you're not sitting in front of your desk. Pair a wireless keyboard and you've got a sweet media set-up that can go from work to play instantaneously.

i have the Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD (23" inch screen) and it works great! I occassionally hook up my laptop to it to watch movies (no need for a separate DVD player), I watch cable TV on it and even play Wii once in a while :) It really has all the right ports. The larger P2770HD would be better for movies (my bed is across the room so i sometimes don't see the screen so well) but the 2370 was much cheaper.. I guess I can always move the TV a little closer to me if necessary!!
I hope they resolved their cheap capacitor problem that plagued most of their earlier monitors.
