- What I Love About My Small Home:
- What I love most about my small home is the unique character of the space. I live in the attic of a converted mansion in Denver, Co. The ceilings are slanted and there are quirky little historic details all over the house that I just love -- it was built in 1880. The space is somewhat awkward, but I love organizing and enjoy thinking of creative ways to store my things. By bringing in yellows and browns our home has a very warm and cozy feel. :0)
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- The biggest challenge of my small home is that I constantly want to add more furniture or home decor and have no left over space to put it. It is definitely a challenge creating a home that meets both form and function when you have two people living in such a small space. Both people have needs to be met. I welcome the challenge though! Apartment Therapy and IKEA have both been amazing sources for inspiration and advice on what to do with small spaces. Whenever I encounter a space issue I always go to these sites for help. Thank you Apartment Therapy!

Wonderful place! You've done tiny to perfection!! Color palette and all~
Super charming!
This is such a great space! Looks very cozy!
Looks so charming...I want to put your apartment in my pocket! I'd love to know where you got that great living room coffee table/chest??? I currently use an huge steamer trunk I got for college at an army surplus store but would love something like your table. It looks very mature yet still seems to have great storage.
Again, really great space. :)
Just plain beautiful...
I love all the details! From the crochet blankets to the pillows, coffee mugs, spice rack and indoor plants! A great use of color and pattern throughout the space! Love the geometric art on the wall! I want to come over :)
I really enjoyed looking at your space! Very pretty.
One of the best!
Love the colour palette. Love love love the coffee table!
Where is the coffee table from?? I've been looking for something exactly like that!
I like!
Am I the only one who thinks the couch should go where the bed is, the dresser where the couch is, the kitchen table where the coffee table is an the bed into the alcove off the kitchen, maybe st apart by a curtain on a track?
Sitting on the sofa looking at the sink is not my idea of fun.
I thought the same time Holiday! Nice space but I would try to arrange it differently.
You have my favorite rug in your place!! I've oogled over that rug for so long now!! Such an adorable place :-) I love all the little details
Brilliant!! Cozy, bright and super cute !!
Thanks for all of the great comments everyone! :0) I actually bought my coffee table off of craigslist for $40. Unfortunately I don't know where the previous owner bought it. It is definitely my favorite piece in our home.
Love the apt! Where is the couch from?
I like your home and I love your cheerful enthusiasm.
Maybe my favorite so far. Just an exceptional use of your space. The colors... the plants... the pillows... it all ties together so perfectly. I love it.
I also agree with Holiday05.
cosy, cute, wonderful!! i vote for uu!! :)
So..put the bed in the kitchen and the couch in with the room with the dressers and closets and get dressed in the "living room" everyday?
I have the same shams on my bed!
Awesome! Is that a Westie or a Wheaten Scottie? He is sooo cute.
Wheaten Scottie! Thank you :0)
@Sarah8 - I actually do something a little similar to that. Two of the rooms in my apartment were basically interchangable as a living room and bedroom, and I ended up using the room with the closet as the "living room." Partially because the color (it's a rental, so painting is difficult) went better with my living room furniture than with the bedroom furniture, and partially because of its location within the apartment and building in general. Though the closet is in the living room, I don't "get dressed" there, I just go grab my clothes and bring them back to the bedroom to get dressed. But I live alone, so I figured I can do whatever crazy layout I like.
