- Inspiration for my palette:
- I found this great Baluch carpet that had such unique pink, blue, and purple colors, and the rest sprung from there. I travel a lot for work and fun, so the rest of the odds and ends come from there (the Stans, Africa, etc) to tie it all together.
- Colors used in my room
- Pinks, walnut, birch, a hint of blue
- Tips for using color successfully
- My taste is rather eclectic, but choosing one or two main colors helps ground me a bit.

Room for Color
A wall of books is totally all the color a room needs when you get down to it. (Not that I'm justifying my book-habit, not one bit. Denial exists for a reason.)
Apart from the rug and chair it does have a kind of temporary, thrown-together feeling to me. Which could be a good thing, in that super cool+ casual, not overly fussy or contrived way. But I think that that the bare wood furniture outside a super modern setting, plus the lack of window dressings makes it feel just a little bit too spartan and unfinished, despite the abundance of interesting objects and personality in those objects.
Your room is very real and very warm. It looks like a lot of creativity happens here. Love your basket of yarn. Nice. :)
