Sara shows us that it doesn't take a ton of space to create an efficient landing strip. She sets up shop in her hallway and goes vertical on both sides...
Using the long, narrow table as an anchor, all of her organizing systems go on top, on the sides, or underneath to maximize space. A tray on top acts as a landing spot for quick grab items like keys, sunglasses and wallets. On the sides are a chair (could be an outbox area) and stacked baskets (possibly for paper recycling). Below, she stores her magazines and active reading materials. Sara also makes the area cozy with a chair pillow, wildflowers and a vintage globe. We also love the addition of a mirror (great for checking your appearance before running out the door). On the opposite side of the hallway, Sara hangs a coat and hat rack for storage (which keeps everything in one spot).

This has a lovely, casual cottage vibe. I'd love to see the rest of the home.
I like how chic but practical it is!
