Name: Sara
Location: College Neighborhood — Wooster, Ohio
Our 1920s Georgian colonial has been well loved through the decades. We try to keep it's history alive by decorating with vintage and antique finds. Still, much of our decor comes from curb-side shopping (finding trash on the curb and rehabbing it).
Our bookcase is constructed of shelves affixed to a hundred year old door and our dog kennel is an old heating vent hinged into an unused cabinet in our kitchen.
With the advent of our first child, my family's style has evolved from classic to "kid mod" over the past year. Finding baby-friendly ways to decorate helps us to bear staring at the same four walls when we feel quarantined due to a responsible bed time. Undoubtedly our home will continue to change with the needs of our growing family. The baby started walking yesterday. The gauntlet has been laid.
Thanks, Sara!

Shaw's Original Fir...
Very pretty, and now that your baby's walking you may want to rethink the breakables placed low in the first photo. They might prove too tempting.
shout out to wooster! :) so glad to see ohio here!
love the old houses in wooster, i worked there for a few years (commuted from medina), loved the downtown -jealous you live so close to tulipan and the tile store downtown!
I grew up not too far from Wooster...very lovely home, I love that mustard yellow-rimmed chair!
Woah, Wooster! I went to the College of Wooster!
Beautiful chair
O-H-I-O!
Lovely!! House Tour please!!
Um, please stop teasing and show us the whole house already! All my favorite colors and clever.
Yes! I got so excited thinking this was a full house tour, and then realized it was only 5 photos. Someone get a photographer over there, quick! Love the colors and built ins and architectural character.
Doggy says, "Ahhhhh! My house is tilted!"
Nice! What is the paint color in the first photo?
WOW! I love the architecture and the little charming details. So beautiful. They definitely don't make em like this anymore.
The houses they make these days would barely stand 100 years.
Love these photos--agreed, I want to see a whole-house tour! (Especially that bookcase you talked about... please. I've been thinking about doing something similar with a couple of old doors I have trashpicked here in Lakewood, Ohio, so I would appreciate the inspiration!)
Btw, @LittleMissSunshine, agreed! When I had the insurance guy come out to my house as I was moving in, he told me that there were a few options for insuring it... but that none of them would result in exactly the same kind of house (built in 1919) that I have. Some of these board sizes, etc., simply can't be found anymore. Sad.
Love it -- full tour, please!
loooove the fabric on that chair! is it original or can you tell me what it is?
I thought I would be the only one in the comments to say "Yeah Wooster!" but apparently not. Class of '09 here.
Anyway, your home seems lovely. I love the chair and framed chalkboard.
I just realized that I crocheted the little alligator in front of the chalkboard in picture 3. :-) Glad your house is on here, Sara!
