We've talked about the costs of ink a few times here on Unplggd. With all of us tightening our belts, any trick to save on ink is worth checking out. The other day we read up on eco-font, a typeface that has small perforations in it that aren't noticeable to the eye when used with regular font sizes (read: anything below 24), but when printed ends up using less ink. It's a pretty cool idea for those times you want to print out directions, a recipe, or anything else that doesn't have to be perfect.
The company who designed the font say that it cuts down on ink use by 15%.
