Although bathroom month has already come and gone, we ran across a tip recently and had a total "duh" type moment. The electric personal appliances many of us keep in the bathroom (blowdryer, curling iron, flat irons and so forth) can super heat countertops, leaving behind nasty marks if we're not careful. Who knew all we needed was a potholder.

Celebrity Gwyneth Paltrow shared this great tip with her weekly Goop email subsribers from Ricky's NYC salon. All you need to protect your bathroom surfaces is a silicon potholder. They're sold at most major big box stores for just a few dollars and they store as well as they protect.

Most silicon potholders are rated up to 500 degrees fahrenheit and will keep your counters save and sound without any worry, not even for the most sensitive of materials.

Here's a few previous bathroom storage solutions for those looking for ideas from our editors and Unplggd readers alike!
