Name: Sawyer (6 weeks)
Location: Oceanside, CA
Here is Baby Sawyer's Nursery. It started with a $50 dresser and $30 antlers from the Long Beach Antique Market, and slowly evolved into this little man cave filled with new and vintage pieces.
I especially love the rug that makes the whole room feel finished. Overall it is now a comfortable and colorful space that Sawyer and Mom can both enjoy.
Lovely - thanks Casandra! I especially love the Junzo Terada flashcards!

White Enamel Flatwa...
Could you please share where the rug is from? Love the room!
that is what got me too!!! Love the rug!
LOVE the antlers in the frame. This room is so solid.
The antlers... the chalkboard closet doors... the steamer trunk... the lush green chair... all fantastic ideas! Would have loved to see all the sources for this one. The only thing I'd change is the Jenny Lind is a little femme for a boy's room, but overall... love love love it! : )
Pleeeeeeaaase can we see more of that rug?? The room is great, by the way. :)
where is the rug from??????
Everything about this is perfect. The armchair ads a discernible weight and almost antiquity to the room. Echoing a similar sentiment, the antlers, rug, dresser and trunk are spot on.
I think the contrast of the delicateness works well with the girth of the rest of the pieces in the room. Adds and almost angelic quality to the sleeping quarters, which is nice.
Femme? Really?
I don't know. If I ever have a boy (at this point, it's not likely), he's going to be dressed in pink, (I despise pink; I always have) but it's crazy to make colors/patterns/textures gender specific, in my opinion.
The rug is the Magical Thinking Bazaar Rug from Urban Outfitters.
I really love this whole room!
A.S. Smith, you rock, thanks!
I know it's probably well secured, but my no-kids-of-my-own self just cringed at the pointy jutty antlers above the changing table. If those fell...
Plus, by all my mom's reports, I was a climber. *shudders*.
That said, I kinda like the look. I'm just paranoid.
I'd dress my kid in green. Solve the problem.
And as for dressing boys in pink and girls in blue; that was the gender pairing until quite recently, actually.
**Ladies' Home Journal article in June 1918 said, "The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl." **
I love those flashcards. I'm ordering some right away.
i love this room! i really want to do something similar for my little guys new bedroom (we're moving); what's the paint color on the walls?! it's so bright and airy, but still adds color.
