In this home our dogs were able to see out every window in the front room (there were 6 of them). They tracked neighborhood cats and slept on the back of the sofa while kicking their paws at dreams of chasing squirrels.
After the ridiculous amount of moving my husband and I have done over the last 5 years, we've finally decided to put down a few roots (or so we hope) and take the plunge into being home owners. With all of our past apartments and rental spaces, we've photographed each and every one before leaving, do you do the same?
We've lived in 4 states, 7 cities and 11 different dwellings over the recent years and in case you had any doubts — we're completely illogical and no one should ever follow in our footsteps. Before we left each place, we made sure to take another round of photographs, being able to eventually show our kids those "crazy years that Mommy and Daddy had."
Looking back on them now, each place had it's own spirit, memories, quirks and problems, but no matter what, we enjoyed them all (even if 4 of them flooded!). We've made sure to take shots of the first thing we saw in the morning when we awoke, the last thing we saw when leaving or even how the sun poked through the trees while we were there. It's the things like that which will stick with you forever. Read the captions above to see a little insight to each one of the spaces we've lived in before!
Do you make sure to take pictures when you move in, move out and somewhere in between to show yourself a bit settled? Or would you rather forget the whole time frame and keep it off record, never to be heard from again? Let us know below!
