While Nintendo, Microsoft, Dyson, Sony, and Dell have all had their share of pink product coverage - a pink iPod dock shouldn't have been too far away. Why it has taken so long for a manufacturer to try out the retro-inspired idea beats the heck out of us. However, the execution from Scandyna should be more than pleasing to the eye since we've seen them more than once around these parts and pink should open up the palette for creative design once they start bringing more colors like baby blue... aqua green... perhaps, ruby red? More details after the jump.
The designer speaker set from Scandyna claims the following:
"The Dock is specifically designed to complement the iPod and combines high quality audio that accommodates multiple iPod models, giving the consumer the ability to dock, play and recharge most iPod's. Scandyna's Dock contains loads of features, including: a 2x15 watt RMS Class T amplifier, seven inserts for use with various iPod models, remote control and stereo line output to your subwoofer. The Dock connects to the curvy and stylish Micropod SE's, which are renowned for their quality design and engaging sound. With top quality components, including a Kevlar bass/midrange driver, a soft dome tweeter and an extra durable finish..."
We've seen the Danish speaker designers chug out high quality and naturally sounding speakers for some time now, so if anyone's wondering if they're worth the price, we'd have to enthusiastically say, "Heck yes!" It's enough sound to fill a moderately sized kitchen or small bedroom. Any space larger and you'll probably have to consider their higher end models and running it through an amplifier.
The wonderfully pinkish set can be had at $300 for each fashionable Pink Dock Pack. They also have the iPod Dock available in the original colors, black and white.
