Afraid of heights? You may want to hold it if you find yourself at this penthouse designed by Hernando Silva Architects. A powder room was constructed over a former circulation shaft with a glass floor, so you can peer into the depths.

Shaw's Original Fir...
I'll bet you wouldn't have to clean that bathroom too often!
^
You would because I'd p*ss myself before I made the toilet.
This is so much better than bathrooms with clear glass walls.
Love this, but I would have done a sink/vanity that was a lot more minimal.
I feel sick just looking at this. I can appreciate it, but really can't handle glass floors.
Yes, definitely a designer with a sense of humour.
I love it. I am not afraid of heights (each year I have to get on the roof of my house at least twice to clip the overhanging tree branches or sweep the leaves, clean the eavestroughs, etc. I thought nothing of stepping onto those glass protrusions on the 103rd floor of the Sears tower in Chicago (at least I think it was the Sears tower) and staring into the emptiness below.
I can see myself creeping gently around the edges.
Then spending way too much time in the sitting position staring into the depths below.
Kinda cool, kinda creepy.
I can't decide which I'd do more of, constantly look down all freaked out about the floor cracking and dropping me to my death, or constantly look down all freaked out about someone sneaking into the bottom of that looking up at me. Either way, it's nonstop fear. It's very clever and beautiful and I want it but would never be able to function in there.
I agree with Rocketscientist.....that cabinet kinda ruins the effect a bit. I love the concept, though.
