We're just loving these Bank of England Chairs. Not only do they have sexy little curved arms, they look sturdy enough to shield someone from a natural disaster. And they're really well priced at 6 for $500. So, if you're in the market for new dining chairs... -MM

These bank chairs are great! They're also called "prison chairs" because guys in federal prisons made them, mainly in the 1940s and 50s, from what I've heard. They're remarkably comfortable and seriously sturdy. If you watch pretty much any movie from the 40s that has a courtroom scene, the jury is always sitting in these chairs.
molly, just have to tell you that i love your descriptions! especially this one, which made me laugh out loud.
I am a rookie on this site, but can someone tell me how to contact MM to see if these chairs are still available? Thanks.
