This coffee table has a few tricks up its sleeve...or should we say leaves? Slide the top open, and there's a secret compartment to stow your magazines and DVDs. Or just add a leaf or two and you've got a nice expanded table for extra platters of hors d'oeuvres, Chinese take-out dinners in front of the tube, or maybe an impromptu workspace. Going for $80.

Shaw's Original Fir...
hmm...I have that coffee table, and not only was it was from Ikea, it was not really expensive. I think it was just over $100 and if it has scratches (not real wood so very visible) I don't think it is worth nearly the price they are asking. It is however a great place to hide dvds.
Haha. I have that Ikea coffee table too, along with the matching sofa table (or whatever you call the taller table that sits behind the couch. My bad.) The leaf slides in & stores on little bracks on the underside - very handy.
I completely agree with Jaclyn - It's not very good quality (particle board) and does scratch really really easily. Unless it's in perfect condition, they're charging too much for it.
But with that said, I need all the extra storage I can get, and it's really great for that. We have blankets, board games and other stuff in there.
If you're trying to sell that Ikea table and it has scratches, I highly recommend using a black non-ballpoint pen to fill them in. They are much less value-diminishing that way -- I sold mine for $80.
Does anyone have a link to the IKEA site for that coffee table? I'd like to take a look at it but I'm having trouble finding it on the Web site myself.
It isn't in production anymore in the states.
I picked it up for $40 from someone on CL. Nice starter table but I'll definitely be upgrading once I get some more $$.
