What the... a gold Macbook? We're not suggesting anyone buy it, but we'd never even heard of one. A post that Sonia at Unpluggd wrote here talks about a company called Computer Choppers, which apparently custom-plates Macs in 24kt gold, maybe this is one of theirs. You'd think that for this price the seller would have bothered to charge it up and test it, but apparently not — although since they "found it after cleaning the stage area of a Boston club", maybe it has Stephen Tyler's home number on it. We also found a Danish looking bureau, set of Arne Jacobsen Series 7 Chairs, some bentwood Thonet chairs, a Norman Cherner Plycraft side chair, and for those of you who lusted after Martha's Vintage Sink in Kyle's post about Hanging Sink Curtains.. here's a similar sink for only $80. Click to see these any more finds after the jump.

That gold-plated Mac sounds VERY sketch. They want $5000 but they can't be bothered to test it? Sounds to me like they already did.
Best Scavenger post....EVER!
I think the seller of that Mac is hinting that a gold-plated Mac found in a night-club may contain some very interesting files on its hard drive. And by saying that the battery is dead and the seller doesn't have a charger, the sellers are suggesting that they are not privy to the supposedly sensitive or confidential info. (When in fact they may well have taken a good, long look at it).
Then again, if the Mac does not contain any interesting data, then the sellers never said that it did, so they can't be accused of failing to deliver.
Here's a great reader rehab of some bentwood Thonet chairs just like the ones above: http://stylenorth.ca/blog/2009/03/reader-makeover-vintage-thonet-chairs/
