My mom took me to Ringling Bros. when I was about 5 (we usually went to the Shrine Circus), and I kept the poster of Gunther and his tigers on my wall for years.

I remember having a plastic cup (originally held sno-cone-like ice) from the circus with a relief of Gunther on the side when I was young.
I think Gunther already *has* a "cup". Lordy!

I don't know which is more annoying; using the phrase "Eames era" to describe something that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with anything even remotely Eames-y in nature, or using the prase "Eames era" to describe something actually designed by Charles Eames.
Also, I totally forgot that Gunther Gebel-Williams ever existed. Suddenly I am 10 years old again!

Using "Eames Era" in an eBay title is against the rules. It's called keyword spamming and it's annoying as hell trying to find something that is actually an Eames piece. The only way to stop it is to report the losers who abuse it. Anna, I'm so with you!

I have a question. What does "vintage" mean? I thought generally "antique" meant 100 years old and "vintage" meant 50 years old, in which case this GGW poster doesn't qualify. Or does "vintage" simply mean from a decade other than our own?
Are there standards for these terms within the communities that sell used and old items?
