ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT CL:
I have been writing to furniture ads for weeks now with not a single, solitary response. I did what I always did: I forwarded the ad to myself using the "Send this post to a friend", and then wrote to them through my personal email account.
After weeks of no responses I started to wonder what was happening. I posted my issue on the help forum and found that craigslist had changed somethings.... Here is the answer I got:
" If you used 'email this posting to a friend' the "reply to:" address shown in the email will not work, even for active ads.
For some reason those addresses have been changed to "anon-". A working address will begin with the root that points to the area where the ad was posted (sale-, pers- hous-, etc.).
You can either edit the address or just click on the link to open the ad and reply from there.
Hope this helps."
So if your emails have gone nonrespondent to for weeks-- this new change might be why! Why CL hasn't made an announcement about it on the "send to a friend" page is just beyond me...just to think of all those pieces I've missed out on!! Sad!
