They say a rose by any other name would still be as sweet; yet I think I'd love Australian eco-design company Schamburg + Alvisse's most recent concept piece just a bit more were it not so unfortunately named, “Stop Playing With Yourself”. Regardless of its name though, like all of the company's designs, the Stop Playing with Yourself collection— whose puzzle-like pieces can assume any of several useful configurations— offers sleek, environmentally-friendly designs with an added bit of insouciance.
Stop Playing with Yourself is a tongue-in-cheek, concept piece that riffs on a traditional wooden puzzle. The individual, colorful pieces can be arranged to create everything from a sculpture, a sofa, a chair, a table, to a bed. Schamburg + Alvisse goes to great pains to ensure that its pieces are produced under internationally-recognised FSC green timber certification and use only recycled resin. It's only fair then, I guess, that with all the thoughtful seriousness behind its pieces' production, the company gets a free pass on the lightheartedness of its naming system.

If I lived in a big loft I'd have me some of these, but in a real house, they look like two would consume my whole living room, and eliminate comfort and ease... But they LOOK cool!
sherrybinnh - you're right
it's a statement piece but in the right space it would be great
The things people invent. It's crazy. I love it!
