One of the main concerns of any homeowner is what happens to their beloved place while they are away. This is something that causes as lot of worries. You are not there and you have no control over the situation. Thankfully, family members or friends can be enlisted for help, but how about using some state of the art technology, to allow your home to be remotely controlled?
Schlage LiNK lets you monitor and control your home while you are away. This resolves a problem that most of us have when we are away from our home. We always worry about what will happen while we are gone. With Schlage LiNK, you no longer have to worry that much. It will let you manage remotely locks, lights, cameras and thermostats via a web-based interface. This is done thanks to Z-Wave enabled technology. It's a kind of low-power radio frequency mesh that can be remotely operated thanks to Schlage LiNK.
It enables you to check the status of your locks, grant entry to your home from afar, and turn you lights on and off. But that's not all. There is a mobile application letting you do all of this via your cell phone. It can transform your home into a smart home. You can build up this system over time, starting out with just a remote lock and then add more components. You can be notified about entries to your home via text or email messages. It's kind of like hiring a security guard for your house. If you are worried about your home, then this is totally worth it. Plus, when you are away, it can give you some control over what happens at home. You'll never be locked out of your house again or forget to turn the lights or heating off. If you are worried about giving access to your home via the web, you shouldn't be because all of these features are controlled via the Schlage Wireless Bridge, which uses 128-bit AES encryption.
We'll be following up with a hands-on review in the coming weeks, as we just received a review unit from Schlage.
