We have friends who escape every summer to spend a week on a rented houseboat on Lake Shasta. We've seen the pictures and it looks like a fantastic vacation. However, their houseboats definitely don't ever look anything like this one.
In fact, the Schwimmhaus, designed by confused-direction in Germany, is the first green houseboat we've ever seen -- complete with a green roof, and reclaimed wood. Well, actually, it's just a model. The real thing will be finished in Spring 2009 and it will measure in at 14 m long, 4 m tall, and 3 m wide.
How great would this be for a vacation -- or, even better (if you live in Seattle or other houseboat friendly places), a full-time residence?
