In late 2008, Kyle Cassidy began photographing the work spaces of fantasy and science fiction authors to illustrate where their creative works are born. Not surprisingly, few have the tech goodies we're all used to but there's no doubt that some great tech ideas have been dreamed up in these rooms ...

Kyle Cassidy, the creator of WhereIWrite has been documenting American culture since the 1990's. He has several publications, including books on information technology, as well as a regular appearance as contributing editor for Videomaker magazine. His Web site also claims that his Photo-A-Week blog was one of the first photo blogs on the internet, with an average of more than 150,000 visitors a week.
