Sadly, it seems lowering the price of Windows Vista and officially ending support for XP this coming June just weren't enough to take down our favorite operating system completely. Announced late Thursday, Microsoft will continue supporting Ultra Low-Cost PCs (ULCPCs) such as the Asus Eee. Great job hanging in there, buddy!
Reasons being, though not surprising to say the least, the smaller machines don't have the sufficient specifications to run Windows Vista. Why Microsoft decided to make the requirements for Vista so steep, I have no idea. Microsoft is claiming to give the ULCPCs two additional years of support.
