From a friend over at Emeco we recieved the first pictures of a new chair (1951 original on left, new on right) they are brining out this April. Designed by Adrian van Hooydonk (seriously), who works for BMW and designed the Mini, here's the story:

"We found a long-lost chair on eBay and asked Adrian to re-imagine it in the same way he did the Mini. The result is a low cost stacking chair ($250 Retail). It has an ABS plastic seat and back and aluminum frame. It can be used indoors or out (in light colors). The counter stool is available for $360 Retail.

The chair will be introduced at the Milan Fair in April and available at US retailers the same month. In NYC, Emeco retailers include Two Jakes, The Conran Shop and DWR." (Thanks, Dan!) MGR
