The newly announced forScore for the iPad looks like a promising app for musicians, holding over over 1300 pages of score from 18 renowned composers, and almost 300 different pieces. Users can annotate the scores and use a visual metronome to aid in timing. We wish we had this as a kid, struggling through piano lessons.
forScore: Sheet Music on the Go for the iPad hasn't launched yet, but you can follow their Twitter or check in on their site for updates as iPad release date nears.

yes! i was waiting for an app like this. one of the only reasons i'm holding on to my 12" PowerBook is for sheet music.
however, according to andy inhatko, it can be difficult to transfer files to the iPad - wonder how this will interface with iTunes to transfer PDFs.
As a music teacher, I'd love to just tell my kids to download "Random Symphony No. 1". No more starting rehearsal with "I don't have Piece A" or "my dog ate "Piece B".
