Your Home Office Organization or Tech Tip: Keep the cables out of sight. As a DJ and producer I've got to deal with an unbelievable amount of wires. I got so fed up with the crows nest on my old desk that I hand built a custom console to house all the equipment and hide the cables. There are surge protectors built into the box to efficiently power everything as well as an in-desk iPhone dock and USB hub to keep peripherals neat and tidy while working.
I built the legs into shelving units to store records, paperwork, and photo gear. What used to be an awkward nook in a walk in closet, is now my dream home studio.

Nomade Express Slee...
Nice decks; pre-fab DJ tables never seem to work right.
Just a personal preference, not a fan of the large gap between the turn table and mixer. I suppose if your just mixing it makes no difference, but it might slow you up if your juggling or cutting. Also, I like to have the key board hovering high over the mixer (I used an Ergotron arm...it might be about foot off the decks)...it makes things a bit more "low-drag".
I'm not sure what your using, but Serato's don't work too well near speakers. I'm not sure if it's true, but the needles might pick up distortion from the vibrations and cause it to go slightly out of whack. Again, that just might be internet nonsense.
Again, cool setup!
How is this not a finalist?!
Organizing/hiding cables is GREAT feng shui!
Very cool! Where did you find that screensaver?
