I'm usually anti-hostess gift, but if any of my guests brought me one of these, well, hey....
Yes, they are beautiful salt and pepper mills, but really?!? The prices that are quoted are rediculous.
The ultimate in grinder? Battery operated. Sounds ridiculously unnecessary, I know, until you try one.

Anti-hostess-gift here, too but I'd be sorely tempted to ask said guest to move in.
the ones in the first pic look georgeous!
You left off Atlas pepper mills. We've been using for over 20 years, and still love it!

We splurged on the Perfex ones using money we received for our wedding, and they're totally worth it. If you look at the reviews online (particularly Wiliams Sonoma), they last FOREVER and are easy to use and beautiful to look at.
Function + Good Design = Quality Product
I bought this one a few years ago and it is still one my all-time favorite kitchen items. Salt grinder on one end, pepper grinder on the other--it is absolutely perfect. Hopefully they re-stock soon, but I believe it was around $30 when I got mine. http://www.amazon.com/Fresco-Rubberized-Stainless-Pepper-Grinder/dp/B0000CNVCP/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1284557915&sr=8-15
I've wanted the Perfex grinders for a while now.
I've been searching for great salt & pepper mills, so this post is just in time. Of course the ones that are my favorite, like the Finnish Design Shop set, are some of the most expensive. Good taste, right? Thanks for the wonderful list.
I have always loved my Perfex pepper grinder. So I finally splurged on the salt grinder a few years back. Now it hardly works and seems next to useless. Anyone have an idea how I can fix it?
