Product: Seagate FreeAgent Desk and FreeAgent Go for Mac
This weekend we got down to the nitty gritty business of changing out a secondary internal hard drive. We had to change out the guts of our system after filling it to the brim with HD content from iTunes (we've finally jumped into watching Heroes and thus found ourselves with zero room after partially downloading Season 1). The admittedly modest 160GB drive of music and video moved over to the roomy external 1 terabyte Free Agent Pro, then back over to a new 500 GB Seagate Barracuda from Newegg ($75 and it came literally the next morning). Thank goodness for spacious external drives for these sort of situations and daily backups, like these two new Seagate external drives that were specifically designed to work with and compliment Mac setups.
The FreeAgent Desk and FreeAgent Go are both handsome new additions we're excited to be offering as a giveaway today to celebrate the announcement of their availability specifically for Mac users. Go under the jump to learn how to qualify to be one of the first to win one of these new Seagate storage solutions (but don't worry Windows users, you can qualify and win a Windows-compatible equivalent also)...
Here are the specs of the newest drives from Seagate we're offering one each of:
FreeAgent Desk:
- Available in three sizes 500 GB, 1 TB and 1.5 TB.
- FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces (FireWire 400 supported)
- Mac complimenting brushed metal finish
- Mac formatted and Time Machine-ready
- Supports Apple power-management
- 5-year limited warranty (and from our past experience, they do honour this agreement without much hassle besides waiting for delivery; excellent coverage).
FreeAgent Go:
- Portable form factor
- Mac complimenting brushed metal finish
- Connects to computers via a FreeAgent FireWire 800 desktop dock, simplifying transfers
- Available in storage capacities of 250 GB and 320 GB
- Supports FireWire 800 and USB interfaces (including FireWire 400)
- Includes durable carrying case and compact FireWire and USB cables
- Mac formatted and Time Machine-ready
- 5-year limited warranty

Z2 iPod Dock and Wi...
I wish I could be clever and say it was all for teh pr0nz, but in reality I'm terrified of losing the huge music collection I've amassed over the years! I'd definitely move it all over to a shiny new external drive!
They're both pretty neat - in fact, I can't really tell the difference between them beyond size! Am I allowed to say "either one"?
I'm beginning the process of creating a home theater system based around all of my Apple toys, so the FreeAgent Desk would be sooooooo helpful!
I would store back-ups of my creative output, first and foremost! And a good chunk of music, too. I would love to have a mac-specific solution for this.
Hmm...probably my increasing collection of photographs - I've been doing scans of old family negatives. I really like the capacity of the Free Agent Desk - does this sound too much like begging?
I would back up my huge music collection and do my time machine backups with it if I had a Free Agent Desk.
I'd back up my photos and music and all the usual business.
Mac! I'll finally use Time Machine.
Pr0n FTW! Windoze please!
The 1.5 TB Free Agent Desk would be perfect for me. I've got a ton of music and movies that desperately need backup, and our 500 gig external drive, which seemed ridiculously huge when we got it, is seeming smaller and smaller.
I would use the FreeAgent Go to back up all my research results and drafts of my dissertation that I will be writing soon.
I'd back up my entire online life.. Music, Photos, website, development work, resumes, ... via Time Machine.
Mostly music and photos. Mac please!
Ooooh! That FreeAgent Desk sounds perfect... My "Good Question" on external hard drives was posted earlier this week... I'd get all my old music and photos off of there, and start storing newer music on there as well!
i'd be using it for backup in general. I was poor when i bought my imac and went with the 250gb hard drive and i should have went with a lot lot more. So it is full of movies and i am out of space.
i'd take either of them though, Can't complain or get picky when it's free.
I've got a Mac Mini as the brains of my TV operation. Unfortunately for me, the Mini's brain isn't all that big and I'm often faced with the Solomonic choice - old A-Team or new Family Guy? The FreeAgent Desk 1 TB model would definitely help me keep my digital library in one piece.
My whole life could backed up on the 1.5tb!
Wll lets see, music, web page templates, my fiction writing, pfft, most anything I own that needs to be backed up...windows please.
One for mac one for pc.
music, photos, video.
I would use the 320GB free agent GO with my Mac Book Pro for storing virtual machine images that I use for testing security software. The firewire 800 interface would be great!
320GB Free Agent Go for Mac please! :)
-Doki
With the 1.5TB Seagate FreeAgent Desk I could replace my ailing 1TB drive and resume ripping my DVD collection for easy access via Apple TV.
I'd love to have a Windows equivalent of the FreeAgent Desk. It would be wonderful to move all of my photography DVD's (I take tons of pictures) on to a drive, so I wouldn't have to search under my desk to find a single image.
Photos, photos, and more photos!
I would store the back-up for all my gaming!
I am a songwriter and use my computer to record tunes. Multi-track recording files take up a lot of space. I also have a large music collection. I need all the storage I can get.
I would use the drives to store my massive amounts of... music! I would also use them to help store my girlfriends ever growing photography. The 1.5 TB Free Agent Desk & the 350 GB Free Agent Go would be amazing to have! ^_^
I would store our family photos. We have five children, six grandchildren and a large extended family. We have three blended families due to my husband being a widower twice. Some of the families live far apart and we share many photos and memories.
I need one! My current drive just quit recently. I will use it to back up my photo, video, and music libraries!
My growing semi-pro photograph archive
(as well as a back up of my computer) would be stored on the FreeAgent Desk. Oh man that would be so great! Windows compatible would be perfect.
What a wonderful giveaway. I would store both photo's and music. Thanks so much.
I'd store all my digital poster sized art that can surpass 2GB per piece on the 1.5TB FreeAgent Desk for Mac.
Awesome. I would back up my general files but mainly it would be for all my photography. The FreeAgent Desk 1TB or 1.5TB would be perfect!
I was actually going go buy one this week ANYHOW...so I think I'll hold off and see about my luck here! I'm joining the Navy and shipping out in a few weeks. I'll be gone at OCS and other training commands for about 5 months with no opportunity to use a personal computer, so I'm going to do a huge Time Machine backup to the largest Desktop HD they have and sell my computer. That way I can get the most cutting-edge MacBookPro they have when I resurface among the living in Spring of next year!
I would love the Free Agent Desk. If I were to acquire this lovely hard disk, I would use it to store all of the many hours of video that my husband and I are rapidly accumulating with our new video camera.
i would use it to store all my blueprints of solving world hunger and poverty .
...and maybe some music.
music and photos!
music.
Freeagent Desk. I will store photos and music.
one word: BACKUP!!!
Once you've lost everything to a 200GB hard drive failure, you don't really need to be reminded to cover your rear again...
BTW - I would really like the FreeAgent Go for Mac (that red is NICE!!!)
I would use it to backup my husband's dissertation. I'm ready for him to be done with school and we can't afford any more set backs!
I'd backup family photos and music. I'd use the mac format. My powerbook's almost all filled up.
with the freeagent desk 1.5tb I could consolidate the 3 external drives I have now (something I've been meaning to to) and get all my movies and music, and art in one place finally then use one of the old drives for time machine mac format please
Backing up music seems to be the great need and I'm no different, those music files can be huge and i would use it for that and more!
Free agent go for the Mac. Thanks for the chance!
Ooooo! I'd love one of the Desk models to consolidate my 2 externals and store my music and videos. And (finally!) so some regular backups.
I'd love a desk model for my macs time machine. about time i start using it.
Free Agent Desk for me... I would give it to my boyfriend (aren't I nice?!) he is an artist/graphic designer and needs much more space than his poor powerbook can hold!
I'd like the Seagate FreeAgent Desk for PC, I could backup my videos on it.
I'd save all of the various travel photos and music that won't fit on my macbook. Until I knew these existed, I wanted a Western Digital Passport. The FreeAgent Go is my choice!
FreeAgent Desk for me please. I need the space for my music and eyetv files on my mac mini.
I'd back up all my videos and important files! And also use it to view video on my xbox360. I'm crossing my fingers for the FreeAgent Go for Mac. Thanks!
My music! I'm always fighting the battle over hard drive space, I'd love another back up option!
FeeAgent for Windows. I'd store important information
FreeAgent Desk for Mac, please! Photos, photos, and more photos!
FreeAgent Desk for Windows... I'll take it as big as you can go!
Free agent for Windows. I would use it as a business backup to store all the files that I have for my business.
storing my photos
(for windows)
I always have said that one can never have too much hard drive space (it's amazing to see how quickly a 500 gig HD disappears when you start loading it up with music, videos and pictures...).
I'd want the free agent desk, as I don't really need anything portable. I'd probably use it for more storage since I already have back up drives for my computers.
I'm about to purchase my first ipod (the new touch). It would be great to know I had all that extra storage for music and movies on the Freeagent desk.
i love photos free agent desk
I am planning to buy one of these for Christmas!
I could save the money for gas.
We want to store 2nd backups of our computers, pictures, music, family trees, game files/addons.
Thanks for the contest.
I take tons of vacations and nature photographs for scrapbooking projects so that's what I would use it for the most. FreeAgent Desk would be my preference. Thanks
i'd use handbreak to convert my movie collection to digital files and store those for use with my apple tv. been looking for an external drive that had the capacity and looks that fits my needs and style. would look perfect next to my macbook pro.
(freeagent desk)
Ooo, I'd love the FreeAgent Desk!
I'm a freelance graphic and Web designer, so I'd use it to hold all of the huge files I have to keep for a year before deleting, per my contract with my clients.
I'd kill for that kind of space!
I'd love to be able to store home videos and family photos on the FreeAgent Desk (windows).
I'd get off my ass and make that experimental film I've been wanting to make for the past two years. I left the film industry two years ago to go into design. I'm happier and have a much better commute--but I would like to make something for myself. It would be a sort of closer for that chapter of my life.
Photos, music & all those old family video tapes to convert!
Free Agent Desk.
Lots of my pictures since 2003-2007 last year. I know better now...back up pictures, family home videos, scan documents that i want to shred.
Still on Windows
My old MAC only has an 80 Gig drive and this would be great for photos.
desk lots of pics and documents
Free Agent Desk would be a great backup disk for me!
I would love the mac compatible version, especially now that Rhino has been ported to Mac. My models are getting very large and renderings are filling my hard drive up fast!
I'd love a FreeAgent Desk 1 TB because I need to backup my pictures and move them off my Mac book. When my daughter was born last February, I got a Canon Rebel. Suddenly, my collection of pictures was eating up disk space faster than anything else! The FreeAgent Desk would let me streamline my laptop so applications can run quickly again.
That FreeAgent Desk would sure come in handy since I digitally record songs at home. I could use it as either a new primary (I've written tons of songs over the years plus I just got a plusdeck to back up all of my old analog recordings), or I could use it as a backup...lost a drive once, it was very, very bad.
I would make a bootable backup of my personal Macbook. This would really be helpful because I have the Adobe CS3 Suite installed on that machine but not my work one. This way I could easily use my CS3 apps at work.
Backup all my CD wav files.
I have WAAAAAY too much music and the 500GB internal drive in my G5 has just started the old clicky-clicky "Help me, I'm dying!" sound. I shall gamble and wait till Friday to pick up a replacement... you know, just in case!
Digital scans of all my old slides. FreeAgent Go please.
Free Agent Go for Mac - to store all my top secret files....i'd have to kill if i say anymore.....
I could move all the music files from four smaller drives to the FreeAgent Desk.
I've been looking for a solution to store my backlog of ripped music CDs and photos. Right now, I'm constantly shuffling things between internal drives and computers. I just want a simple solution.
I'd go with a Windows version for flexibility.
I would love to have the FreeAgent Desk, but wouldn't turn my nose up at the FreeAgent Go. If I won either, I would ask my husband to store his music and photos on it instead of my hard drive. Thanks for the offer!
I'd love the FreeAgent Go to back up all my PhD work and music. Both are ever growing collections....
I would back up all of my music--and there is a LOT.
I'd also back up all my important Word and Excel files, e-mail and Bookmarks.
Free Agent Desk (Windows) for my photos
free agent I would use it to store the millions of photos I have of my grandbabies :)
I would store my pictures and all of my music.
Thanks for the fantastic giveaway.
I'd like the little red one to go. Great place to store photos on vacation, or work files during the year!
Family photos! They're the only things you can't replace.
Would you believe I'm working with 80 GB here on my MacBook Pro? I would absolutely love to expand with room for videos (finally HD!) and more music (there can always be more, right?) as well as more complete and secure backups (I could dust off Time Machineâit's been completely neglected).
Either solution would rule! The FreeAgent Go would slide nicely into my pack, but the Desk version is massively deliciousâ¦
I'd use a FreeAgent Go to move big virtual machines and video files off my MacBook Pro.
FreeAgent Desk to archives lots of photos and video.
I guess odds are I'll probably transfer everything that's on my current harddrive over to it, and use my old external as a time-machine backup. So that would be a combination of music, tv shows/movies and back up files.
This seems like an apt time for a contest as my sister just had her hdd flake out on her.
I do a lot of graphics work, and can always use the extra storage...I would be interested in the FreeAgent Go for it's portability, but I would need it for Windows ;)
I would save all my music and photo's from my mac!
I could certainly use more disk space for my pictures and music.
I think I'm a bit more partial to the FreeAgent Desk, but either would work. Windows version please!
Absolutely perfect for my MacMini Home Theater...!!! My 500Gig one is a bit too fat from eating all those films and tv shows...
Windows compatible, please. My video card has a TV tuner with dvr capability but my hard drive is insignificant. I would turn this beautiful peripheral into a dvr.
Mac or Windows? I'm on GNU/Linux! Either drive will work!
I would finally be able to backup my photos and music and place them off site.
Free Agent Desk for Windows, Please.
Would use it to store all of our music!
THANKS :)
Free Agent Go for Mac - to store my growing collection of movies and tv shows.
Frequent backups, and work files for home video editing
FreeAgent Go for windows; my daughter is a violinist and has a huge collection of music, this would be perfect for backing up and taking with!
FreeAgent Desk for Windows would be used for critical backup as well as music/video backup. Seagate is most often used in servers for a reason - they are more reliable and stable then the 'other' drive makers. This would make a nice addition. Thanks!
I have thousands and thousands of movies and photos stored on my computor As a mother to 7 and nana to 18 I take lots of memories and my biggest fear is losing them I really need this for my windows computor
blday50@yahoo.com
I have so many pictures on my pc video footage and files that are taking over my pc need to be put on a external drive and get back some much needeed spacebefore all is lost
either drive would be greately appreciated but the bigger the better thanks
Since I am a cpa there would be lots of tax returns and Quickbooks files.
Photos and music
For sure the FreeAgent Desk so I could have all of my music, HD TV shows, and HD movies streaming forever on the AppleTV. Then I wouldn't have to erase Ghost Dad to make room for the Adventures of Pluto Nash!
pictures & edits
I use windows... :-( so I would need the win compatable
lots and lots of photos for my windows computer
Music...tons of it...and music compositions.
Would love this for Windows please!
I'd use it to back up all my photos, videos, and important personal and client data files. Pc-compatible, please.
I need room to store pictures and video. The video, especially, takes up a lot of disk space. I prefer the Windows equivalent for the Seagate FreeAgent Desk. Thanks.
I'd A] Backup my my music library, (Mostly culled from my CD collection that I recently freecycled) which currently occupies most of another 120GB external and B] Start making my DVD collection obsolete as well
Mac pleeze
Plan on using mine as storage for the upcoming vintage photo scan-a-thon of personal albums. Right now I've got about 3K done for myself and I'm kinda running out of space scanning slides, pictures and other photo artifacts at high resolutions. Can't imagine when I attach the family stuff, my mother alone has about 20 albums! FreeAgentDesk 1TB for Mac please...
I would love to have it to store our ever-growing music library, family pictures and the mega cookbook I'm compling. Who would have thought one book would take up so much space, lol. Windows equivalent for us, please
My genealogy research data and photos.
I would certainly store my music and all the photos and photoshop images. If I had a desk version, I could start Time Machine up to make sure that I don't loose any pieces I may be working on, God forbid anything would happen. But knowing my luck, something would by the paws of a few feline companions of mine.
I do digital illustration and animation, so the FreeAgent Desk in a Windows equivalent would be awesome for backing up gigantic Photoshop files and ginormous 3d Max/Maya files!
Desk version for an archive of old radio shows, music, photos and now maybe enough room for some video.
I would store pictures and music. I would want it in a window format. Thanks
FreeAgent Desk for Windows.
Music, movies, books.
The Mac version of Desk. I need the back for storing my web sites and for OSX Time Machine.
Freeagent Desk
Use a backup for all my pictures of my two year old daughter and our next baby were expecting in April of next year :)
Not to mention any other important documents and of course my MP3 collection.
Music, photos, documents...and more.
I would save all my photo's
Shiny! I would use it to store my VM images as well as movies, music, and photos.
I would use the Mac version of the Go for storing my expanding collection of music, which I use to DJ. The Macbook Pro hard drive just ain't cutting it any more. :(
I would need the Windows-compatible equivalent, and I would store all my important/priceless photos!
thanks for the contest.
I would need the Windows version of Go and I would use it to store music and videos.
The 1TB drive would be a perfect paring with my iMac with that FW800 connection. I'd use it to store my wife's photography and back up everything else on it.
writing manuscripts-I lost a lot of rough drafts from Cp crashes-one that works with windows please, the bigger the better
we have a growing music collection and this would be great.
We have tons of digital pictures (of our new son) and purchased music that isn't backed up... and my computer is dying. An external drive is exactly what I need!
I can't decide which I would prefer, but I would need the Windows version of either. If I was hard pressed to decide, I'd probably go with greater storage capacity (at least 1T) over portability.
I would save my movies and photos. I'd like the Mac Desk version. Thanks!
I would use it to back up my business files. The system I am using is very cumbersome. Windows
I do a lot of archival work, and the more space, the better: I would love a FreeAgent Desk to help manage the continual onslaught of media material!
I would use the FreeAgent Go (Windows-compatible) for storage of my precious photos. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love the terabyte or more for my mac. I have a huge music collection that grows by the week. I would love to hook it up to my extreme and share the music with everyone in the house. I am starting download movies to in hd so that will take some space. Thanks!!!
i want to win
I am going to use it to store music but mainly photos and my wife's medical school information.
I would back up my PowerBook which has just just 1.3MB left, btw much of what is on my PB are PDFs I make of my favorite AT articles ;)
I just somehow fried my hard drive on my Mac. I wish I would have had this to back up...maybe I can make a habit of it...soooooon? With this thingggg?
FreeAgent Desk for Mac
My 500 gig LaCie is filling up with all my movies, music, photos and projects so another 500 gigs or so would be a welcome addition.
So much to store...photos, music, and this would free up my internal hard drive.
backing up pictures
I do art and graphics on a Mac (Apple) laptop and need to store all my work and photos and textures and art and add-ons....it is really just too much. I could actually use a huge desk model for everything and a large portable to manhandle a working storage access library for all my on the job ventures. This is a great chance to conquer part of the problem. Look forward to winning!
I would use the Windows drive to back up the home movies I've been taking of my 9 week old daughter.
I just recently bought a Macbook with 250 gig hard drive. I started transferring my files from my old Windows desktop. I did not realize that I had that much media and I dont wanna clutter my Macbook. I was debating on buying a time capsule but the reviews were very mixed. This would complement my Macbook very well if I won! I hope I win...but good luck to everyone, this would be a great addition to anyone's Mac or Windows setup.
Easy answer! I'd use the portable drive so I'd be able to bring my Aperture library with me. And I suppose some music would be nice to have along as well!
I would use this to back up my digital image archive of family photos.
I would need a PC version.
I need that windows / pc one. I bought a back up from ebay and well it's just too small to back up my system. Been a little paranoid since that black out a few years back.
I need the FreeAgent desk to store my PowerPoint presentations.
I would use the FreeAgent Desk (windows) for pictures and videos!
Pictures and pictures and more pictures!
Windows please
This would be great for movies and music on my home network. Need the windows version of freeagent desk tho.
It would be great for my photography (and Heroes season 3...)
I would def use the FreeAgent Desk to (re-) re-backup my neg and contact sheet archives from the last (and first!) two years of my work in photography. As the files pile up, I find it nearly impossible to be decisive about which images to lay to rest in order to make room for the new... which has, in turn, created a bit of an external drive pile-up. Oh well!
I have a large music collection and would be great to back them up
I would use the 1TB drive on my PC to store all of my web design files that I need to backup. This drive would give me a better solution to ensure that I don't loose any of my client's data. I'd also use the 1TB (because it so big) to store my music and photos.
I'd like to win the freeagent pro since it is so portable. I'd have to format it for windows and I'd like to use it at work for when I need to uncompressed ghost images (pushes down to the machine faster) around or complete some imaging off-site.
Thanks for the Giveaway...had a bit of a hard drive "issue" this past week (first time I have ever a problem with a Mac in over 20 years of using & abusing them) and I had not backed up my stuff. I was very lucky to be able to retrieve most of it but I lost some important things i.e. photos, documents, music, etc. Never again !!! I have been shopping around for a storage solution for my Mac and these two new drives certainly fit the bill: I would love to get my hands on either one but the FreeAgent Go looks to have the most utility for my needs...Good Luck everyone !!!
I'd back up all my music, books, and graphics on the Seagate FreeAgent Desk. :)
I would leave it empty. They're too precious to be filled with any files.
I would back my website, pictures and documents on the FreeAgent Go (Windows-compatible).
The most important thing on my computer by far would be the photos, and written stories (documents) by my daughter.
picx as they always take more spaces every where else
herry123_us@live.com
This would be so great for backing up all my pictures and home videos of my family. I would love to win the Windows-compatible FreeAgent.
I would love the FreeAgent Desk to store my pictures and videos!
I'd love the Mac-compatible Free Agent Desk to back up everything on my computer - pics, videos, etc.
I would love either drive (Windows/NTFS version please). Seagate drives are great. Lately I have been reading a lot about the concept of the digital dark age and plan to use this drive to help preserve some personal history (at least until the next mass storage medium arrives!).
If I had one of these drivers I would store all of my digital artwork for that day on them. I use fractals to create artwork from my original photography. I capture images that I love and then turn those images into art that looks totally surreal from what I originally captured. My files end up being fairly large sometimes and I really can use the extra storage space for each days work because many times I am working on the road. My choice for driver would be the FreeAgent Go for Mac. Thanks for this great giveaway!
pictures and music
I use Windows
Windows-compatible - Family Pictures!
Pictures of my cat P-Nut. From my Mac.
Family genealogical items including letters, pictures and other documents will be put onto this if I happen to win.
with FreeAgent for PC i can backup all my home made movies
FreeAgent Desk. I'd store all my music. Thanks
I would use this to save my school work to.
I would definitely want the biggest one available (for a MAC of course!) to store the zillions of pictures my husband takes (and all of the movies that he rips to the hard drive!)
I would use this to store my growing number of family photos and music. Windows-compatible please! Thanks! :)
I'd use this to store my digital photos and my family history research stuff such as certificates, newspaper articles, old photos, etc. Actually, my hard drive just totally died on me and I lost some of my more recent photos/etc b/c I hadn't backed it up recently. This would really help me out in case that ever would happen again! I would love to win a Windows compatible one! Thank you for the chance!
I'd love to have a FreeAgent Desk, for two reasons.
1) My husband and I do a lot of graphic design. I'd love to move the completed projects to a portable hard drive, instead of relying on dozens of CDs for storage and back-ups.
2) We live in hurricane central. If we need to evacuate, the nifty FreeAgent Desk would fit in the car a lot easier than the desktop.
Thanks,
dahlia[at]tmlindsey[dot]com
I'd use FreeAgent desk to store all my music. I could use a new, and larger backup disk than I currently use.
I'm running out of room on my iBook 'cause I have so much music and too many T.V. shows. I like the looks of the FreeAgent Go, but I'd prefer the FreeAgent Desk from its higher capacity.
I would use it for photos, windows please.
Really need to backup my large MP3 collection. Only 20 gigabytes worth, so not crazy big, but it took me 10 years to collect all these mp3s and I don't have a safe backup of them anywhere.
for pictures
As a semiprofessional photographer who has always been Mac-only, the FreeAgent Desk model sounds like it would be perfect for daily backups of the hundreds of photos I take every week.
I would use the FreeAgent Desk to store my wife's photos and stories as well as the music I create.
Photos
The Windows one for my mega huge music library!
I would have space for my fotos!!!!
I use Windows.
W00t W0oT more storage for my windows..hahaha!
I would use the FreeAgent Desk for Windows to store video, family pics and music.
I'll be storing my iPhoto Library, which consists of tens of thousands of pictures of my amazing and adorable niece and nephews.
I'm not completely computer illiterate but I might as well be because I have no idea which would be a better choice. I'm operating on 2 computers, one XP and one Vista.
I love to download music and save my favorite TV shows so I could save those and still have room for family photos.
I need the windows-compatible equivalent because I have a Dell that is slow slow I want to toss it. Thanks for the contest.
The would store all my photographs from my family and my first trip to Europe on the Windows compatible Seagate. It would be comforting to know they are in a safe place!
I would store my family's history-photos etc. and I am sure my daughter would want to store all of her music. I would like the windows-compatible. garrettsambo@aol.com
Back up critical information on our IMac!
I'd back up everything -- password program, photos, movies -- and my daughter's music. We're Windows people -- I used Macs in the pre-internet days, but just don't like it now.
FeeAgent Desk for Windows please! I went through a terrible loss of data at the beginning of the year when my hard drive got damaged. I hadn't been backing up like I should. I really need somewhere to store all of my photos, music, and files.
What seems to fill my hard drive the fastest is my videos and anime. That's what I would put on an external drive. I find that one can never have too much storage space, so if the 1.5 Tb FreeAgent Desk for Windows is offered, that's what I would like .. or as big a FreeAgent Desk as possible. (for Windows) .
Thanks
My laptop's hard drive is full with music (itunes)
and pictures I take with my digital camera and
need more room and love to make a full backup
before something bad happens Wil
FreeAgent Desk: family pictures
Music but also my pictures I got a new camera but have no storage for my photo's left on my computer.
I would definitely have to agree about backing up all my music. Then I would go from there with all of that storage capacity.
I would like to win whatever the Windows equivilent for the Free Agent Desk model would be.
I'm going to begin video editing soon and need a lot of space to save my movies! I would like to win whatever the Windows equivilent for the Free Agent Desk model would be.
Thank you so much! I'm crossing my fingers!
i'd like the FreeAgent desk for windows! and i'd use it to store movies and iso files
As a filmmaker, I will store all the video data that I plan to edit.
Music ! Lot's of music ! And pics and vids !
Windows please. Thanks !
I would store back-ups on either.
The freeagent Please
I sure need a backup for all my important files
I would prefer the FreeAgent Go for Mac, but either would be fine. I would store movies, photos, music, completed Autocad projects and other projects on it so that I could free up some space on my MacBook.
