Sebastian's Jungle-City

Small Kids, Big Color Entry #6

Pin it button big

Name: Sebastian or Mavis (due 1/1/12)
Location: Salisbury, CT

Color Inspiration: More recently my husband and I moved from Toronto, Canada to the sleepy town of Salisbury, CT (pop. <2000). Jungle/Jalapeno Green was our inspiration as it was lively and fresh yet, was gender neutral as baby is due in January and we are waiting to find out the sex. In an attempt to bring a little city to our newborn, I painted a cityscape and lion/taxi cab motif on two of our walls. Green was a perfect compliment to the jungle vines that are escaping from the rooftops!

Tip for Using Color: GO FOR IT!! It's a kid's room and it should be fun so why not make it fun, inviting and full of color! I typically have stayed away from using multiple colors but for this room we started with jalapeno green and white and then added a little punch with teal and grey for our furniture accents.

Colors Used: Jalapeno Green, White, Miramichi Teal/Aqua and Sweatshirt Grey.

Thanks for your colorful entry Nattalie and good luck!
