If you and your children agree that Harriet the Spy is about the coolest kid ever, then this is the project for you. Holly at Stitch/Craft came up with this secret agent kit that would make an awesome addition to your everyday basic spy belt.

The entire kit is pretty rad – note the pouch made out of repurposed cargo pants – but we have to say that the absolute best part is the secret message decoder Holly fabricated out of an old panel of red plastic film. It really works!

On a related note, I saw this on etsy yesterday. Coolest thing ever http://www.etsy.com/listing/42435979/secret-decoder?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=decoder&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title
this is so much fun!
i'm crushing on the secret message decoder. i'm going to make something like this for my friends' little ones and their big adventures.
it looks very similar to a [slightly more grown-up] Explorer Kit my husband made for himself. a bag packed with compass, pen & pencil, notebook, camera, action figures, water bottle, and much more. he tailors it to that day's particular adventure, but it's always with him - ready for action.
