The minute we read about this inspirational idea, we started counting the days to when we could implement something similar. If your child is old enough, consider installing a secret basket in his or her room.
The secret basket, featured over at Design Sponge, is just that - a basket hidden away stocked full of goodies. When you want it to appear, you simply pull on the rope and it's at your fingertips. You'll need a basket, a pulley and screws and a rope. This is a great way to store and hide toys, hair accessories, a tea set, anything you or your child can think of.

Cute idea. But I wish someone could explain the creepy priest print?!
My immediate thoughts as well, leeler. Love the mix of new and old on the bookshelf though :)
I LOVE the priest print -- where is it from!?!? How can I get one!!?!?!?
This reminds me of one of my first DIY projects. As a kid, I rigged up a string and pulley type set-up so I could turn off my light from my bed (across the room from the light switch). No more tripping over the mess on my floor on the way to bed. Don't ask why I didn't just ask for a lamp or clean up the floor. That would have been too easy.
Also oohing over the priest print!
All I could think of was "what the heck with the priest print ??!"
and found ya'll here sayin the same thing. LOL
ropes and young children.. hope this works!
