The hustle and bustle of the holidays are coming and you better hurry up and find a sanctuary to run to when the in-laws start to overstay their welcome (just kidding, in-laws!). Reading nooks don't take up very much room and can easily become that secretly special hideaway. Having just recently moved into a smaller home in Long Beach with much more character and charm than my previous home, I've taken on the challenge of a small semi-awkward nook. I wasn't entirely certain what I should do with the space but have recently decided it would make a great reading nook.
Reading nooks (or any kind of nook) don't have to occupy an entire room — that's why they're called nooks and not rooms. With just a cozy piece of furniture (no matter the size) a few cushions or pillows and some form of lighting — you've got yourself a reading nook. Go with your gut and fill the space with comfortable items that'll help you unwind.
