These lovely photos are of the home of Elana Safronsky, who is a senior contributor at HGTV Canada's Style Sheet blog. It seems that one of the perks of writing about inspiring design and being infused in the community must include finding great decor steals. One of the aspects we love most about Elana's home is the large collection of salvaged furniture and its strong architectural features such as the original staircase and moldings.
It would be nice to be a permanent house guest at Elana's carefully curated home. The white backdrop gives it a simple and clean aesthetic, yet the touch of colors remind you that you are in a design's space.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Can we please have a full tour? I want more architectural details than just that yummy staircase. And, since I'm currently salvaging something wonderful, I want to see how she worked all of her salvaged furniture into some kind of cohesive whole
clicked on the link for the full tour. What a fabulous house.
Nice, clean and airy. So relaxing. It's really different than those you see on HGTV.
LOVE it! I want to see more.
The feel of the house has a nice flow from room to room. The bed in the picture is very similiar to the antique bed I have. I painted mine so you don't see chips of paint missing. I know it goes with the look of the item, but I just can't get past the idea of "it's chipped, therefore, it needs to be painted".
