Who was your favorite contestant from the contest?:
This is way too hard... for individual pieces, I loved Jared's Marcel Dzama (even though we can't see it very closely!) and inside-out animals sitting on the floating cubes (a nice way to display those). As far as the idea of using art to complete a look, I like John O's leaning-oh-so-casually-against-the-wall art. Although I would clean those bookshelves off a bit!
I love the tiny chair with the candle on it. It would be great to see how this fits in with the rest of the room, but I love the casual nature of his collection of art and personal objects. I also loved all of the entries where people made their own art. It's great to see so many people getting their hands dirty. I love it!
If you could change one thing in this room and money was no object, what would it be?:
That's an easy one: make the tile match! Oh how I hate those four
different colors of green! Oh how I hate you, floor tile, for being so
slightly yellow while your counterpart on the walls laughs at me in
its vague minty-ness! A pox on the lazy and/or cheap prior homeowner
who replaced only one part of the tile! May you be forced to live
forever in a Thomas Kinkade-themed tract home!
