Name: Alix Sloan Location: Lower East Side, NYC All Other Entries: Link Here

Artwork: “A Last One” by Eric White, 2004, oil on canvas, 24” x 24” Price: Gift from the artist

Artwork: “Curds Nourish” by The Clayton Brothers, 2003, mixed media on board, 24” x 24” Pitch: This piece is just one panel of “Six Foot Eleven” a 24” x 74 foot panel that was split up into 27 panels and sold to various individuals. I purchased it from La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles for $3,000 in 2003. Pitch: I’m a private art dealer, manager and consultant. In 2005 I relocated to NYC from LA. I spent 2005 living in midtown with a roommate and just moved to my own place on the lower east side.

I am still adjusting to the totally different lifestyle here but I love it. I particularly love my new neighborhood and apartment and the thing that really made my new place home was the day I hung up my artwork! I’ve attached images of 2 of my favorite pieces, both of which happen to be paintings. But I have many other paintings and a few funky sculptures by artists from all over the country. I really believe in collecting pieces that you love and connect with and want to look at every day – not just works you think might increase in value - and I constantly encourage my clients and friends to adopt that philosophy. Some of my collection was purchased at galleries, some were purchased direct and some pieces were given to me as gifts. Values and prices range from a couple hundred dollars to a whole lot more. Thanks for looking! Best, Alix S.
