Seed Pots from Toilet Paper Rolls

Cardboard tubes from toilet paper rolls can go straight into the recycling bin or they can find a new use. In our home we use them to corral our stray electrical cords and to keep our Silpat baking mats from unrolling in our baking supply drawer. If you find your green thumb's been itching, rather than buying cardboard pots for sprouting seedlings in, create your own!

Make 4-6 cuts around one end as if you were making fringe, fold and fill with soil and seeds. When your plants have sprouted you can plant the entire pot into a larger container or the ground or cut away the cardboard and recycle it. For the full tutorial, click here.
