Movies are always a great source for inspiration. We refer to them all the time here on AT:LA, and we often get questions on where one can find a certain item they saw in a scene from a film. Well, we just got an email introducing us to SeenON! which is a website that works with the set decorators of films to bring you the same (or similar) products that were used on the sets. Currently, the site has been mainly going at it from the fashion perspective, but now are moving onto set decor. They are launching this category with the recent, The Nanny Diaries movie. You can shop the sets in several ways. You can browse the sets, and click on certain areas, and matching products show up in a window on the right, or you can shop by a character in the film, or you can shop via "Shopisodes", which is a video application that allows you to simultaneously shop for products seen in the footage as you view it. Check out this link to experience it for yourself. Let us know what you think of the concept in the comments...
