Down in the Treme, it was just Serena Williams and her bae bae (Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanion) and this gorgeous Greek Revival mansion. The couple celebrated their New Orleans wedding recently with a whirlwind weekend of fairytale romance and R&R at this dreamy HomeAway rental property.

According to Vogue, the tennis superstar's wedding itself had an opulent French ball meets Beauty and the Beast theme (complete with a first dance to "Tale as Old As Time" and a surprise carousel). And the couple's wedding rental property in the oldest African American neighborhood in the country was equally as full of richness and vintage-inspired glamour, for a relatively modest $1,860 per night (it's just $74 per person if you invite 24 of your closest friends).

The historic 1880s-era Esplanade Avenue home formerly known as "The Five Continents" was recently gutted down to the studs in order to restore its original architectural glory while renovating it with modern amenities, according to the HomeAway listing. The property now features eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms (five full/three half) plus a separate guest cottage, and sleeps 25 people comfortably — which Serena and her bridal party (including sister/rival Venus, plus friends Kelly Rowland and Beyonce, among other guests) enjoyed to the fullest for Serena's bachelorette party and the final days leading up to her "I do", ELLE Decor reports.

Luxe yet cozy details included at the Antebellum estate include common spaces with "regal splendor" like a pair of plush, oversized modern velvet Chesterfields in the parlor and a long and stunning reclaimed wood dining table surrounded by ghost chairs that seats 18 for leisurely meals and laissez le bon temps rouler.

A perfect setting for the ultimate girls' weekend (followed by a newlywed getaway) for the famously feminist star as she celebrated the happiest days of her life. Aside from all those championship wins on the courts, of course.

Take a full tour of the beautifully restored and appointed home in the gallery above or on HomeAway.com.
