I'm not new to keeping a seasonal nature table in a corner of our home. It's a great way explore and learn in a hands-on way. Nature eventually leads to questions about science and having some basic tools on hand can be very helpful. We recently bought a new microscope in order to examine things up close and personal. But it doesn't have to stop there.
Once your kids reach a certain age, hands-on science experiments become great learning activities at home. Why not set up a small science table so all of the equipment can be easily accessed? That's what Michelle of Michelle's Charm World did in her own home with a science table stocked with test tubes, beakers, and reference books.
