Around this time of year, decorated wreath tutorials for your front door are a dime a dozen. Just in case you're not a big wreath fan, this project offers another way to use those pretty fall leaves. (Plus, you get to bust out the sewing machine and show Mother Nature who's boss!)

In this project, leaves of all colors and shapes are sewn to a ribbon. Have you ever thought of sewing leaves? They aren't typically run through a sewing machine, but in this case, it's exactly what's on the agenda. The final look screams fall without goofy pumpkins or anything spooky.

Cute! Could also flatten and dry them first, then sew them. Might have to try this... :)
I'm not putting green leaves through my sewing machine because it seems like they'll leak leaf juice and dry leaves will crumble and leave leaf crumbs in the machine. Of course, I could be wrong.
Kind of a cute idea, but I would use a big needle and basting thread and sew them by hand. This would be nice with a variety of kale leaves as well. You could hide little vials of water and put fall flowers in behind it.
Cute! But yes, I would sew by hand. And not just because my sewing machine is jammed right now. Lol...
But what a great idea for decorating. As soon as we get a nice dry day, I'm going leaf hunting!
