A few weeks back we took a look at some totally terrific terrarium ideas. There was something for everyone no matter if you were looking to buy or diy, but what that crazy huge roundup of ideas didn't include was a terrarium that wasn't made of glass. These bad boys are sewn.

Yesterday over at Design*Sponge this extra clever idea of sewing your own terrarium surfaced. Terrariums are great unless you are a frequent mover. Packing glass to begin with, let alone something filled with plants is enough to make anyone weak in the knees.

These terrariums are made from vinyl and a bit of thread plus a bit of the usual fillings. Although they're best suited for plants that receive a light misting of water each day or something that likes drier climates (succulents we're looking at you) we love the idea of making your own in the exact size or shape your space calls for.
