The look, feel and vibe of a bedroom means something different to everyone but we can all agree that sexy and serene are two words that many of us strive for. These types of rooms accomplish several things at once; they provide a relaxing space to catch some serious zzz's and the sexy steps in and creates an environment that we want to spend a lot of time in.
Bedrooms with this combination of attributes can be achieved. Window treatments that let in plenty of natural light during the day and allow for just enough ambient light in the evening to create a sexy atmosphere. Lush, neutral bedding is another key element to creating this ambiance. Most importantly, making space to include unique items that you love will make the difference in creating the atmosphere that is most comfortable and welcoming to you.

Shaw's Original Fir...
The first and middle photos are absolutely breathtaking! I cannot believe how beautiful they are. I love the draping. I don't think I could ever implement that in my personal bedroom space (since I share it with my SO and he has a different opinion), but I'd love to either recreate the feeling of the middle photo in a guest bedroom. Thanks so much!
The serene theme really reminds me of India Hicks' home in the Bahamas! Read Theodora & Callum's Interview with her

i love the second photo with it's charming bedroom/library theme. i love sleeping w/ books and find it comforting.
the first picture reminded me of a hotel in Bali.
These are serene but I don't get a "sexy" vibe from them maybe romantic is the word you were looking for
great inspirations. love the draping, which always adds that perfect lounge-y, effortless appeal
If you could average all of those pictures into one bedroom, it would be perfect.
True, inspiring sanctuaries! I think I could spent many many days in that first bedroom just daydreaming and relaxing!
I want to sleep in the first pic, beautiful
Anyone know what kind of plants those are in the 5th photo? Thanks!
These are beautiful. I prefer these to the bedrooms shown on the other post Rate my Space. These seem effortless and nice use of materials creating a serene and comfortable space.
@JonathanJace- those plants look similar to the dwarf olive trees I had growing in my house once. They need a lot of light and dry climate. I had very large bauhaus style windows with lots of light so they thrived .. I did prune them to keep them a nice size. I really miss them they would not survive where I live now.
Beautiful and inspiring rooms... definitely serene!
But sexy?? Sorry, I don't see my husband getting turned on in any of these rooms ;)
BEAUTIFUL! But in Pictures 1 and 3, the lack of insulation really bothers me.
These are heavy on the serene but light on the sexy...there's nothing exciting about them other than maybe the first one.
Sigh...those are all so beautiful each in their own way.
The draping is indeed gorgeous - and obviously an art. When I attempt to drape it has that look of unmade bed done in a hurry and everything just looks thrown.
Only 3 and 5 match my def'n of serene.
Ummmm... #3 appears to be a child's room.
